NEWSREADER Huw Edwards will be the voice of the BBC at the opening and closing ceremonies of next summer's Olympic Games in London.

The Beeb will provide 18 hours of TV coverage of the Games every day.

Gary Lineker will host a prime-time show on BBC1 from 7pm, following a three-hour slot from Sue Barker.

Presenter Mishal Husain will have a mid-morning slot and Gabby Logan will front a late-evening programme.

Other presenters in the BBC Olympics team include Bill Turnbull, Hazel Irvine and Sian Williams.
